“My passion for Ducati began already as a child. Along with some friends I played the game of recognizing the sounds of the motorcycles passing by. The Ducati bikes were unmistakable. The sound was full and unique as only a two-cylinder Ducati can produce. I ride motorcycles ever since I am 14 years old and from that time on it has always been my wish to have my own Ducati. I remember the feeling when I turned the throttle for the first time - the wind in my face which increased at faster speed and the sound of the heavily vibrating engine. I am a motorcycle fan and always follow the Motor GP races enthusiastically.
I was blessed with a talent different to racing motorcycles, which lead to a career as an opera singer. I am paying back this talent by being an ambassador for this most distinguished art in the world. Ducati is, like opera music, the display of Italian Excellency and it makes me proud to praise these virtues during my tour of engagements.
Each bike coming from the house Borgo Panigale is a unique masterpiece, a superior combination of design and technology on two wheels. I never met anybody who was not fascinated by the unique sound of a Ducati engine. For me personally the sound is like a beautiful “Do di petto” (a high C from the chest). I would like to thank Ducati for often providing me with a motorcycle, if in Europe or the United States. Each time I had a chance to ride one of these bikes it felt like a piece of home. I would like to dedicate this statement to the House in Bologna and also share it with you to show that also singers have their passions outside the world of opera.”
